Liam McCusker has practiced in Commercial Litigation in South Australia and New South Wales since 2004. Liam was made partner at Donaldson Walsh Lawyers in 2011 and, upon its creation in 2014, a Director of DW Fox Tucker Lawyers. Lisa Harrington is a born and bred Adelaide girl who has practiced law focusing on Corporate and Commercial areas in South Australia since 2007. Lisa started out in a small firm and worked with that firm through two mergers and was made a director of DW Fox Tucker Lawyers in 2017.
Along with other not for profit board positions, Lisa was on the board of Restaurant and Catering SA for six years and worked with the board through its transition to the national body and is a member of the Urban Development Institute of South Australia and serves on the Planning Committee.
Lisa was listed in Best Lawyers 2019 for Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Best Lawyers 2020 for Agriculture & Rural Affairs and Best Lawyers 2020 for Leisure & Licensing Law.
Peter McCusker was admitted to practise in 1971.
Peter was a partner of Johnston Withers McCusker until his appointment to the bench of the District Court of South Australia in 1988. Peter has served in various jurisdictions and Courts, most recently as President of the South Australian Employment Tribunal.
Upon retiring as the President of the South Australian Employment Tribunal in November 2017, Peter joined Oak Law as a consultant advising in Commercial Litigation and Appellate matters.
Isabelle Russell was admitted to practice in September 2017 and joined Oak Law in January 2018.
Having previously worked for a criminal law firm in Adelaide, Isabelle now practices primarily in the Corporate and Commercial practice area.
Alex joined our Corporate and Commercial team in November 2019 after completing her double degree in Laws and Commerce (International Business) at the University of Adelaide.
Having previously worked for a well-known Australian real estate company, Alex retains a strong interest in property law, with a particular focus on advising on residential and complex commercial transactions. Alex also works heavily within the agricultural and hospitality space under the supervision of Lisa Harrington; where she particularly enjoys dealing with licensing and intellectual property law.
In her spare time, Alex enjoys travelling; having most recently having spent several months travelling Europe and (prior to settling down to work with Oak Law) working in Alberta, Canada.
